Life My Husband, Glenn, my son, Ross, and I moved to Bonaire Georgia. Never heard of it? It isn't really a town, more of an area with a zip code. I was so happy to get out of Tucson (the "Dry" heat was getting to me) but I wasn't too sure about middle Georgia, but I really love it here. I had been in the desert so long that anywhere green would be an improvement, but this really is a wonderful place to live. Southern hospitality is alive and well here. Men of all ages go out of their way to open doors for women here. It is great when a teenage boy, who, by his looks, I might not want to let my daughters date, rushes ahead of you to hold a door, and when you thank him he says "Your welcome, m'am". Besides the nice people there is so much history to see. Plantations, houses that survived the "War between the states",(they do not use the term "civil war", don't know why). We have eaten Fried Green Tomatoes where the movie was filmed. We also visited Savannah, and went to grave yard with grave stone from the 1700's. We ate at Paula Deans (the food network) restaurant there. A lot of the sightseeing in Georgia involves Southern cooking. There are some wonderful foods. I haven't had a real job since we moved. I am thinking about getting one, maybe next week. No need to rush these things. I have taught some Quilt classes, designed some Quilts and made the patterns for the shop I worked at in Tucson. I spend some of my time working in the yard, but mostly I design and make quilts. It really is an addiction, but there are worse things I could be doing!!
