Kuang-Fang (Kf)'s Story

2/11/2015 Time flies. The last time I wrote about my flying. This time I am out of a job, well kicking my way unwillingly into retirement. My flying days are also being left behind due to recent surgery. I hate the word retirement. Some say it is a time to enjoy the fruits of our life's endeavor. Weak knee, deteriorating body, living with prescriptions, are these the fruits of my endeavor? Not many years from now this list will included weakened mind and final fade away. Mmmm... sounds all too depressing. In 1985 when I started working in the IT work (there were no IT then), I couldn't believe I got paid for doing this work. When I look back for the last 30 years and got paid for all those years doing this work, I am totally flabbergasted! It is like getting paid to explore new frontier everyday. The downside of getting paid is, if you can't sell your ideas then you'll have to do as told. Now I have the time to polish up my own system in the way I see fit. Although there aren't many who can appreciate it, but it is a work of art in my eye. Ya, I am touting my own horn. If you consider that as fruits of life's endeavor, I can be forgiven. Years ago I was looking for two of my good buddies at Western High. One I traced his ghost all the way back to Japan several years ago. He passed away in 1995 long before the beginning of my search effort. The other, I th...Expand for more
ink I've found his footprint in Poland. I even joined a Polish discussion web site just so that I can read his profile. I am pretty sure I found him, except the site shows there were no further activity from him after 2007. I received no replies from him with my inquiries. Another dead end. I guess the desire to meet old classmates is like wanting to re-lit the fading memory of our vibrant youth. Friend, if you read this far, thank you. PRE 2015 Life Back in high school I was called Kuang. Now I shorten it to my initials, KF. Full initials are KFC which is what I have on the license tag of my Corvette. I don't talk much in those days. And I don't know a lot of you real well. But I certainly am very happy to know that I have shared my life with you all in the 60's. And here we are again sharing the same cberspace! Since graduation I have never left this area. 1997 I attended my first high school reunion. Imagin that after all these years. I am now divorced and have two full grown sons. I like the freedom of living by myself. I used to enjoy work (computer field). But now days, I enjoy golfing and flying. I am a high handicapper (24) for golf and low time pilot (220 hours). I wish it was the other way around. So if any of you are interested in hooking up with me for golfing or flying over the Chesapeak Bay in a Piper don't hesitate to contact me.
