2/11/2015 Time flies. The last time I wrote about my flying. This time I am out of a job, well kicking my way unwillingly into retirement. My flying days are also being left behind due to recent surgery. I hate the word retirement. Some say it is a time to enjoy the fruits of our life's endeavor. Weak knee, deteriorating body, living with prescriptions, are these the fruits of my endeavor? Not many years from now this list will included weakened mind and final fade away. Mmmm... sounds all too depressing. In 1985 when I started working in the IT work (there were no IT then), I couldn't believe I got paid for doing this work. When I look back for the last 30 years and got paid for all those years doing this work, I am totally flabbergasted! It is like getting paid to explore new frontier everyday. The downside of getting paid is, if you can't sell your ideas then you'll have to do as told. Now I have the time to polish up my own system in the way I see fit. Although there aren't many who can appreciate it, but it is a work of art in my eye. Ya, I am touting my own horn. If you consider that as fruits of life's endeavor, I can be forgiven. Years ago I was looking for two of my good buddies at Western High. One I traced his ghost all the way back to Japan several years ago.
