Kurt's Story
Too long in Texas! However, as long as we're here, we're livin & lovin the ranch life south of Austin where we're happy to have good neighbors that are down the road a piece.
I might not of been born a Texan, but between working at UT-Austin & being a registered member of both the International Texas Longhorn Assoc. & the Texas Longhorn Breeders Assoc. I figure I'm about as naturalized as any outsider's eve...Expand for more

Still, if I could pick up my place & plop it down East of the Mississippi - I'd do it in a heartbeat!
Soils in these parts are either gumbo or hardpan, the gumbo won't let go of anything & you can ruin a good shovel right quick in the hardpan. Never thought I'd appreciate red clay so much!
