Kyle's Story
Life
After returning from a year studying in Wales, Israel, and the Soviet Union ('87-88) I joined the CIA as an analyst. I got married in 1993 to Melissa; she's a United Methodist Minister. In '94, I became a US diplomat. We had our first child, Allen, in July '95, one month ahead of my being posted to the US Embassy in Moscow. (kind of a career-limiting factor for a diplomat) I served in various capacities as a US trade negotiator in Washington and in frequent trips to Geneva and Paris. Rejoined the CIA in 1997 and did a lot of neat stuff but left in September 2000. I joined a consultancy firm where I basically still continue to work for the Intelligence Community. Of course, I don't get to do as much of the neat stuff but I do get to charge a lot more money. Second child (girl completes the set), Kyra, born in June 1998.
