LaMonte's Story
Life
Those of you who remember me from high school probably think of me as a music geek, which quite honestly I was. I went to BYU in Provo, Utah to major in music. After a year of that, I decided that I couldn't live my mom's dream for me and changed my major to Communications. About that time I left to serve a two year mission in Montana for the LDS church and I came back two years later no more clear about what I wanted to do when I grew up now that music was no longer a desired choice. So I left school to try and find myself (so to speak). In 1983 I met my beautiful wife Louisa and began getting serious about having some sort of career and eventually found that I excelled in the field of computers. By this time I had moved to the Silicon Valley in Northern California and began building a solid reputation as a computer consultant. My wife and I eventually moved to Gilroy, California in a wonderful neighborhood with great neighbors. Then tragedy struck in 1998 when my beloved wife passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. was heartbroken and life lost alot of its lustre. Thank heavens for my three children without whom it would have been difficult to find a reason to continue on. I finished up my computer consulting career doing Y2K consulting, which I continued until January 2000. I then sold my consulting business and moved to Utah to be closer to my family. I returned to school to get a degree in aviation (I'm still attending). In 2002 I met Suzanne, a very talented interior decorator and mural artist and we married in March of 2003. In December of 2003 we had a baby daughter together (that makes 3 for me, and 5 for her and 1 together bringing our total to 9 children--I never thought I'd have so many kids!) I now have my pilots license and I'm two semesters shy of getting my degree. Life is good and there is so much more that I want to accomplish.
***UPDATE 5-20-2007***
I'm working as a manufacturer's rep for Remos Aircraft setting up dealerships across the country. It's a lot of travel, but a fun job. I get to fly the Remos G-3 to demo the plane the dealers.
