June's Story
I left Golden the January after graduation to attend college in Maryville, MO. While there I met a young man who ended up joining the Navy. We were married just after he completed boot camp. Courtesy of the Navy we lived in Japan, Australia, and 4 states in the USA before he decided he didn't want to be married any more. I have 2 children, John lives in Chesapeake, VA and Michelle, with Daren, Wilson, and Savannah,lives in Florence, SC.
I remarried 15 years ago in VA and now live in Harriman, TN. We are near the Great Smokey Mountains, but my friends know that the "real" mtns are out west! It is beautiful here and I am very glad to be out of the city and back in the country.

ad just pasted away at 86, he lived with my sister and her husband on a ranch in the White River Nat'l Forest area. Our trip through the city was a shocker, very little looked the same until we got to Lookout where I found more things that were familiar.
John and I are both retired from regular jobs, but I work pt at our church and we operate an internet based business from home. I still love sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting,cross stitch, lockerhook, and other forms of needlework. We are hunters, work around our place and help others who aren't as fortunate as we are.
I hope to be able to connect with some of my friends from Golden and my past travels overseas. I guess losing my mother a few years ago got me to thinking about past friendships and where we all ended up in our lives.
