Lamar's Story
After graduating from high school I went on to Young Harris Junior College and earned a AS in Chemistry degree. From there I attended Georgia Tech studying Chemical Engineering. In 1977 I went to work for Georgia Power in Albany as a laboratory analyst. In 1981 I moved back to Atlanta and transferred to the Environmental Laboratory, where I still work today. . stems from Georgia State and then in 2000 I earned the MS in CIS from Ga. State. I have worked in the lab as a fuel analyst and an environmental chemistry analyst. I am now the computer IT support and Applicaions administrator for our workgroup.
Most importantly in my life, in 1985 I began living with my partner. On July 17, 2015, after 30 years together, I am happy and proud to say that he became my husband.
