After WWHS I along with my bud, Dave Wright, went to Arizona to attend Mesa Junior College. Not so much for the value of gaining an education, more so to play tennis. Unfortunately in my haste to get out of town I did not complete my student loan application. One missing page! I stayed in Arizona till winter and came home. The next year my Dad invited me to come to California to attend Ventura J.C.. I did. One semester there and home again. Stayed with my other best Bud and family, Gary Stumph. Met my first wife. Got a labors job on the railroad in 1974. Bought my first house. Had my first son (Nick Jr.) 1974. Promoted to a trainman 1976. Had my second son (Joel) 1976.
