Lance's Story
Holey Moley... where to start? Attempted college and didn't really "feel it" so I slacked off for a bit, tried to get back into the education process and got a draft notice... had no desire to be a warrior so joined the Air Force... year and a half in North Carolina then two and a half in Spain... out of the AF and did not enjoy the early spring on Long Island so moved to California, stayed with my folks for a while (Dad transferred out there with Grumman's F-14 program), gave college another shot and ended up g...Expand for more
etting onboard with a water company as a draftsman, moved outside to work in the field (which I love) and stayed in that industry from then on... worked for a County water and sanitation department and ended up with a private company in the mountains (how dumb... four seasons with nasty winters) and worked my way into a manager's position.. spent 25 years there. "Retired" in 2008... moved up to the Olympic Peninsula after taking a beating on real estate values and now am working at not working... which is hard!
