As for what I've been up to since 1985: After WHS, I went to University of Delaware for a BS in Criminal Justice, then stayed in Wilmington for a few years as a social worker working with abused and neglected children, ages birth to 13. I loved it, but decided to move on with my education and I came back to DC to start law school at American University in 1994. Throughout law school, I worked full-time as a paralegal researching and writing briefs for the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice, and assisting in the prosecution of pedophiles and child pornographers. It was a great time to be there, with the proliferation of the spread of child pornography on the Internet in the early '90s, and being involved in many combined sting operations between the FBI, Postal, and Customs. I finished law school and got married in 1998 three months before studying for the Bar exam, which I passed in 1999. In 2001, after the new adminstration and DOJ decided to concentrate more of our limited resources on prosecuting adult pornography and therefore less on prosecuting child pornography, I decided to find a new job.
