Landi's Story
I live with my husband, daughter and 2 cats in Hampton Hill, West London, England. We've been here for 5 years, I love it here, but that could be because I just like moving around, never wanted to stay in one place for too long. The housing around here is outrageously expensive and ridiculously small compared to a normal size house in Alabama. For me, location is more important than sq. footage (which is really fortunate since there ain't alot of sq.feet in this house).
One of the things I really love about living here is that every thing I might need is within walking distance...shopping, doctors, ironmonger (hardware store), cafes, restaurants, car service/body shop (for when I misjudge immovable objects because I am forced to drive on the wrong side of the friggin'road). Actually, I haven't knocked down a wall for 3 years now. Another great thing is that you can travel by bus or train to go anywhere you want to go. Having grown up in B'ham, I really did not have a clue about how to USE a bus to get anywhere, but it is a great way to get around.
I will add more info later, send me a message.

Here's a little info about my family, Mom and Dad are still living in Roebuck, but hope to be living nearer to my brother Mike within the next year. Mike (class of 74) is still in Tarrant, he bought my grandmother's house on Blackcreek Road about 8 years ago and has been working on it ever since. He's not married, and therefore still goes to foosball tournaments and plays golf whenever he wants.
My brother Jim, (class of 71) is a colonel in the US Army and is stationed in Hawaii (2nd time), and lives with his 2nd wife Siria, stepdaughter Hazel and stepson James. His 3 kids are grown now, Nathan and Sarah live in Alabama and Philip is in Seattle.
My best friends Tom and Vickie (Sexton) Atkins (classes 74/75) adopted a precious baby girl from China 3 years ago, they are sooo happy and are crazy about that baby. She is a doll. They live in Homewood. Send me a message!
