Landis's Story
Married my child bride Fifty Seven Years ago, She still wants me around so she is one tough girl. We have 3 children, 6 grandchildren,1 great grand son. They all live close to us.
I worked at Safeway in Midland for 3 years, then moved to Oklahoma City to work for my stepfather as a cabinetmaker/trim carpenter. Work got slow so I went back to Safeway as assistant manager. Stayed 3 years. Then I met two brothers that were home builders and land developers. Worked for them as trim carpenter, then as construction superintendent. nd somehow I would get picked to start them. The last was a tree farm which I managed for 26 years. In all I worked for them for 43 years. I still do some work for the company occasionally. I am still fairly healthy ( could loose some weight ), Had a cancer scare 8 years ago, it's gone, Whew!
Gave up motorcycles several years ago, Wife got hurt at work and can't ride, It wasn't fun without her. We made 43 of the lower 48 plus Canada on the Bike over 10 years of vacations. All fun except the rain and ice!
We live in Edmond Oklahoma now, far north side of Oklahoma City.
