Miriam's Story
1971: Graduated from high school in Maryland.
1972-1974: Attended nursing school in London, England.
1974-1976: Joined US Army.
1976-1979: Attended University of Maryland.
1980: Moved to Sweden.
1981-1988: Moved to Denver, Colorado.
1988-1992: Moved back to Maryland. Did some theater with the Folger Shakespeare Company. Overcame a terrible fear of water and became certified as a scuba diver.
1993-1996: Moved to Israel, did as much scuba diving as I could in the Red Sea.
1996-2003: Back to Denver, Colorado working as a technical illustator for a ...Expand for more
patent firm. Continued diving as often as possible and received 11 certifications in different areas (I expect that makes me eligible to call myself a "master diver"!!)
2003-2007: Moved to Washington State, did even more scuba diving in the Puget Sound. Moved to Arizona and worked at Yuma Regional Hospital for two months, then back to Colorado to hospice nursing.
2007-2008: Moved to Yakima, WA, worked in ICU for three months, then back to Western Washington, where I'm now working once again as a hospice RN.
