Lani's Story

Life After graduation, I moved to Austin for three years and had too much fun. I transfered to Stephen F Austin and received a BA in History and English. I had planned to teach and then changed my mind and went to library school at UT in Austin. After finishing that up, I found a job in Houston as a children's librarian. gdoches. I have worked there for over 10 years in various positions including librarian, web content specialist and instructional designer. I also teach two courses on the side for freshman, one at SFA and one online through Dixie State College in Utah. I am now married (my husband is a structural engineer), living in Lufkin with two girls, Lucy and Emily.
