Life After leaving Texas High, I was drafted to Viet Nam with US Navy. Did 3 years in the med, Athens, Greece and Spain. My last tour of duty was at the Pentagon 1975-1978. I am still in Northern Virginia, Near DC. I make yearly trips through Texarkana each year visiting family. I have my on businesses.I have 3 adult children. I dont plan on retiring. Love my job.! Texarkana has really grown over the years and has a lot of changes. My favorite burger was at Guys. I like to cruze through A&W drive in seeing friends and drinking Cherry cokes. I came about this section on the internet one night while I was playing video poker in the Great Outdoors room through Pogo.com. While I was playing I happen to meet a classmate of ours from Texas Senior High over the internet playing the same game at the same time. I had mentioned on the chat board that I was from Texarkana and she spoke up and said she was too! We started talking about Texarkana, the school and some of the favorite places like Guys and the A&W drive in. I was so shocked that I actully ran into a class mate over the internet while playing cards who was from the same home town, same high school and the same graduation year of 1969! Small world after all! I really appreciated her speaking up and letting me know how to connect to this link. I have lost all my year books and such over the years, but with this connection perhaps I can get a class year book from the school? Anyway I hope to make it to a reunion some day.
