Larry's Story
Life
After high school, I went on to college and graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Mathematics. I started work for IRS in Austin in 1975. I served in several locations in Texas and retired from IRS as a GS-14 in July 2007 from the Fort Worth office. Divorced twice and enjoying the single life. I enjoy traveling and volunteering. I moved out in the country just west of Fort Worth. But 40 years later the countryside is now has several houses in the area but with over an acre of land, that keeps the neighbors at a distance. I still have deer, turkey, and other wild animals in the area and in the yard at times.
While in Willow Park, I was elected to the local city council twice back in the 1990's, served on the local volunteer...Expand for more
fire department for over 8 years and EMS squad for 4 years. I also served on the Parker County Community Emergency Response Team for over 10 years. I received my Texas Certified Firefighter accreditation in 1992 but am now retired.
Now in my retirement life, I only volunteer a few hours a week with the American Red Cross but have volunteered over 17,000 hours and deployed to over 20 nationally declared disasters over the past 15 years. I have had my Amateur Radio Operator License since 2009. Spending time with my grandchildren and great-grandchildren is what I do mostly now.
