so here we are. we're all supposed to watchin our health still

9 september
BTW the "then" pic is my dad surrounded by his some of his artwork.
norma higgs in her gazette columns about local music, never once mentioned dad. boo
one of the best all-around musicians on violin in new york state. he played it all. dixieland jazz, country, dinner music (boy where do you hear THAT being played live anymore?) strolling, rock and the darnedest imitation of jack benny's screeching mistakes lotta weddings. alone sometimes.
dad was the first locally to play electric using a taped-on pickup from vince brundo's music store. still have both of them.
not to take away from the recent loss of don shrimpton, in don's obit joe depietro is finally mentioned.
my thanks and condolences to you and yours for your loss and the mention
when dad sat in at john;s flaming hearth with don, and danny palazzo i would be the roadie carrying dad's amp and setting him up.
talk about being in the midst of some of the true pros.if i tried to list them all i'd run outta room. man those guys could play. everything.
to name one or two--lou barone dan bednarski joe calato sr and jr benny johnson tony prioretti will alger and the salt city six at the fieldstone on transit paul janik all the rest of the international federation of musicians locally and buffalo.not forgetting tony scibilia
or dick brownell carmen mosher tommy tedesco uncle charlie depietro and their trio in the 30's the niagara falls philharmonic tony grizanti sr wally whetham hal palumbo there's a coupla more...like about 200 or so.
then there's dads artwork. most everyone has or knows someone who has something dad drew be it a portrait, calendar, sign. he did don's business cards pretty sure. think i still have the original drafts.

people before/after 72 in with 72? post-grad i can understand
early grads should have a note about it we hadda couple 1,2 from 70
was 72 YB here and taken out? thought it was in 2010.
with a super-phone/camera should be easier to get shots of the pages than with a scanner.mini reunion work project?
deductible write-off? who's the accountant of the group?

never intended to get on social, or political commentary here but this is getting outta hand
it fell on our generation t...Expand for more
o fix what was wrong back in the day.
the illegal aggression in vietnam, whatever other injustices as issues we grew into pressuring "the establishment" to recognise us as CITIZENS AND VOTERS
we tried, we prevailed, but then we STOPPED BEING ACTIVE
no matter where our thoughts dwell, MURDER IS JUST WRONG, AND NEVER JUSTIFIABLE
we protested for our causes, sure, but WE NEVER GOT SHOT AT.
and certainly not by armed civilians.
any shooting at/of protesters STOPPED after the horrors of KENT STATE, WOUNDED KNEE AND CHICAGO.
end of rant
BTW i still have the yo yo

"AND NOW THE LITTLE SQUIGGLY "AT SIGN" THING."
she says, " okay".

she types this in and still doesn't get it.
i say, " now what does it say ?"
