Larry's Story
Enlisted in the U S Coast Guard after graduating from Jordan, served in Alaska and South Carolina. Met and married my wife in Charleston, SC. Attended Long Beach City College and worked for the City of Long Beach prior to transferring to Clemson University, in South Carolina. After graduating from Clemson University, attended U S Air Force Officer Training and then pilot training. Flew KC-135 tanker and E-3 surveillance aircraft for 28...Expand for more
years. Assigned to Del Rio, TX; Caribou, ME; Champaign, IL; Norman, OK; Geilenkirchen, Germany; Macon, GA; Hampton, VA; and Ankara, Turkey during career. Retired from the USAF in 2006; continued to live in Turkey for two years and then moved to Grafenwohr, Germany for two years. Moved to Honolulu to work as a Program Analyst for the USAF in 2010, then to San Antonio in 2015. Have three children, six granchildren with one on the way.
