Larry's Story
Larry's schools include Sherwood Elementary,Jr. High, Overton High School and Memphis State University ('71 graduate) . Worked at Sears Catalog Order DC for 17 yrs (64-80), Fred's Dollar stores 15 yrs.(80-95), Canon Computers Systems 10 yrs.(95-05 ) Katt Worldwide Logistics five yrs.(05-10 ). Retired in 2010 .
Currently divorced for over 10 years and live in Olive Branch ,Ms. I have one daughter,son-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters 7 and 9 years.Favorite pasttime is attending sporting events, Redbirds, Grizzlies and U of M basketball games. My favorite sports that I participate in are Fastpitch Softball and Baseball in the Hernando Desoto(30 and over ) Baseball on Sunday mornings and Friday nights. No longer play Fastpitch Softball but, played on Memphis Pomen 40 and older team that won the National Championships ...Expand for more
in 2004 in Killeen, Texas and in 2007 in Mobile, Al. for fifteen years and numerous other fastpitch teams from 1964 to 1995. Inducted to Memphis Sports Hall of Fame in 2003 for the sport of baseball. Nominated in 2005 for Sports Hall of Fame for Fastpitch Softball but, can be inducted for only one sport.
I am not currently working but, am looking for a stress free part-time job to earn a little money and keep myself occupied. I have a sister in Knoxville Tn., and two brothers in the Memphis area. My mother is well and living in our old house on Fizer in the house we lived in while going to Overton. One brother (Ronnie) lives with my mother in Memphis. I enjoyed attending Overton High School and look forward to class reunions to see if I can recognize many of my former classmates.
