Larry's Story
Life
Is getting terrific the whole experience.
Here is the rest of the story. I returned from my four years in the US Navy. What a experience it was. I traveled the world working a great gig as a Aircraft Engine Mechanic in an Air Squadron. I got married while in the Navy Donna gave birth to a little girl, April, Young as we were, new parents and the challenges of the Navy life things didn't work out. I lived in Ukiah for a short time after completing my four-year commitment and separation, still serving but on inactive duty, that's a six-year commitment. Donna and I separated I then moved out to the East coast. That first year was some kind of lean and tough, dam near starved and froze. I stuck it out with my new girlfriend, and we married a few years later. Married we raised my little daughter together; the divorce gave me custody. The rest is the rest, The things I did miss was all of you; the fun the friends the good crazy times, I had to make new friends but few ever as close as the ones made growing up together. All of you the classmates from 1st grade through High School were missed. My California Ukiah style that easy going laid back take your time. That was sure noticed out East. These folks are going a mile a minute. I have not forgotten any of you, having kept that place in my heart all memories never lost just put aside until we meet again. I do hope our paths cross, younger is not where we are headed. Enjoy the life you have my friends. You have made good lives, good citizens what a generation you and your fellow Americans that make it all possible. Cheers to you all every one of you, Cheers for being California born with that not so fast attitude, knowing life tomorrow will be nice too don't worry, love it.
WoW I can't beleve I made it to 50 (adding or Retirement)
Dancing down the highway of life, a little twist and turn at just the right...Expand for more
time. Keeping beat with the music of time. Looking ahead driving flat out, I've been pulling over often to let the wheels cool off and smell the roses, listen to the song birds, and check the map. It's been fun. I hope the trips a long one.
With all that fun I get alot of wind in my face and sun in my eyes. With the years comes wisdom, and with wisdom comes wrinkles, in the shape of the grin I get from the fun.
I figured it all out, fun and love, it's fun to love and I love fun, and passionate about all I do.
Love like it's your last, play like you will never play again, work like your first day, and dance, dance with the smile of everyone around you.
Hold that thought, the universe will deliver.
With time change is the constant, I after 33 years of machining and 11 in my own business, I am taking a break.
New owners for the shop.a life well lived.
Time will show me the next direction and I think my heart will lead the way.
Dream and dream big I say; follow your dreams. Since then I was able to finish school earning my BA a dream of mine. I was able to get to all fifty states spend some time in each one, another dream of mine. I was able to do a motorcycle ride across the US, California to New Hampshire and most everywhere in between; dam good ride and another dream of mine.. Have three grandchildren all healthy and doing well, a great love of mine.
Retired after 49 years working in manufacturing a rewarding career in many ways;. Building things from machinery to spacecraft parts making all sorts of things, some that save peoples life, things that helped keep this nation moving. A career financially rewarding and I loved every day doing the work..
As one journey ends it starts the beginning of another, My sunset journey is teaching the next generation manufacturing at a local Community College. Enjoy the ride into the sunset my friends, life is great.
