Larry's Story
I moved to Fremont, from Oakland in 1961. It was a merry go round from then on. Fremont was growing, and I lived on the border of the school districts. I went to Horner 1 year, Walters when it opened 1 year, Washington 2 years, Irvington 1 year, Kenedy 1 year when it opened. The Draft was lurking, guys I knew were coming home with no legs (Bob Abina), or dead (Terry Anderson, and Bob DeMello). So rather than get drafted into the infantry, I joined so I would have a job that wasn't so dangerous. I went to Vietnam, but flew on choppers. Came home, and was hated for the short hair...haha. I went to Ohlone, for two years 69-71, then went to San Jose State for 2 years 71-73. Graduated with honors ;) I got married had 2 girls and a boy, and I am very proud of them all.

on industry as an apprentice, journeyman, forman, superintendent, project manager, estimator, and CEO of one company. Since then I have had my own small company, doing remodel, and repairs in just about everything allowed by a General Contractor.
I was divorced in 2002, and have been mostly happy since. It was the old song of Bob Segers "Sun Spot Baby", when she left me and the kids, who were 14, 17, and 22 then. The kids are grown now and very industrious, I am proud to say.
I guess I am here on Classmates, because I knew alot of people living in Fremont and had lots of friends then.
I live in Livermore now. It's alot like Fremont was years ago. With that country feel.
I am not a Classmates member, but you can write messages and they go through :), and I can write back.
Peace
Larry
