Larry's Story
Life
As of October 1, 2001 I began a position as Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
From 2000 to 2001 I worked at the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, California as Vice President for External Relations.
From 1998 until 2000 I was Vice President for University Advancement at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. From 1994 to 1997 I was Vice President for Development at the University of Texas in Austin, where I was in charge of all fundraising for four...Expand for more
teen colleges and schools throughout the University. For 16 years, from 1978 to 1994, I was at Stanford University, where my last position was as Associate Vice President and Director of Medical Center Development.
Before Stanford, I worked at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, after receiving my MA in English Lit from Duke University in 1973. Before graduate school at Duke, I was in the Army for 3 years, the last year of which was in Vietnam.
I am now happily living in the San Francisco Bay Area (Albany) with my two dogs, Hachi-ko and Hana.
