Larry's Story
Okay, well, after having survived the 60's and the Viet Nam war, the counter-revolution and higher education, I'm now (and have been for 24 years) working with the Denton ISD. I worked for years with the Denton MHMR, the Dept. of Defense in Germany, and will finish my career (can you imagine that?) as the "in house" therapist for a public school system. Well, I'm now an administrator for the district for the student and staff mental health programs - always a crisis but rewarding work. Education attracts and demands so much from staff and kids (on reflection, I wish Hillcrest had one of my counselors on board...!!!). I've kept up with a han...Expand for more
dful of my close friends from elementary on up - Ron McClain, Mike Long, Wyck Shytles, (Dale Schriener died in a car accident with me in '74 - I was the only survivor :( but there surely are more difficult stories out there.
I'm single again but have the very best kids on the planet - bar none! and even their mother is the best mom around as well! Haven't decided if I'll come to the 40th or not... looks like there is very little interest that I find very interesting.
Oh, and I don't drive a Harley... had lots of rice burners - lot's of fun but just can't quiet get in to the long stroke 30k two wheelers. Looks like fun though! Some day ~
