Larry's Story
Life
I lived in Roland, Oklahoma, from 1984 to 1986. I very much liked it there. I was part of the student council, sports teams, and had lots of friends.
I moved from Roland, Oklahoma to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from Central HS there.
It was a fantastic college preparatory school, but also a very large school, so there wasn't a good chance of getting to know even the students in your graduating class.
From there I then went to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and graduated with a bachelors degree in Architecture. I then went to Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass for an Urban Design Studio. I moved to Florida, got a great job, got married, adopted a son, then we had two children (a boy and a girl) and then moved to Colorado. My wife and I got divorced and we all moved back to Florida. That is where I am now.. and I want to get connected to any old classmates I can.
College
I went to college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I graduated there...Expand for more
with a degree in Architecture. Then I went to college at Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was interesting and fun to be in a big city going to college. I travelled all over the region looking at exciting architecture and history, including going to Canada for a few days, go to the Cape for a few days, and standing on one of the many bridges during the amazing 4th of July celebrations. Taking in the lifestyle on Harvard Square was a lot fun too. I didn't realize at that time how many different alcholic beverages there were...
Workplace
I immediately set out to get my Architectural License, which is a long process. After 3 years of study under other architects I applied and took my licensure test, a 3 day test. I successfully passed the exam and became licensed. Not soon after getting my license in Florida, I moved out to Colorado (what a fantastic place). I am licensed in Florida and Colorado and can get licensed in any other state. Contact me if you have an interesting project to design.
