Larry's Story
My friends all know me as Larry. I never went to the same school more than two years in a row. Not because I was kicked out a lot, but because my family moved frequently due to my Dad's job with the Federal government.
I went to Creighton Elementary in Phoenix and would have gone to North High School, but we moved to Idaho Falls, where I attended O.E. Bell Jr High and then Idaho Falls High. After my Junior year at IFHS, we moved to Boise where I graduated from Capital High School. I went one year to Boise State College and then went on a mission for my church to Washington DC and the surrounding area (NJ, MD, VA). I came back to Boise and married Diane Botkin (from Nampa). ation. I worked for HP for 14 years before being given the opportunity to seek new horizons elsewhere. I went to work for Sears at their Regional Credit Card Operations Center here in Boise and then Sears sold to Citi Cards, so we all ended up out in Meridian. After about 5 years with Citi, they too encouraged a bunch of us to explore new opportunities with other companies, and I became a Training Consultant and Project Manager doing contract work in several different venues around the country.
I am currently writing online training for the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beckley, WV.
I know life isn't always easy for everyone, but I hope you are continuing to grow and are moving "forward" however you define that. I have been truly blessed throughout my life through many great friends and I wish you all the best life has to offer. Remember that happiness is a state of mind; not a destination.
