Larry's Story
Life
I joined the US Air Force in 1980 and was stationed in various locations around the world. I retired from the Air Force in 2000, and started working for the Air Force as a civilian. I'm married to the former Ann Blackburn of Lexington, KY and we have 4 children. We currently live in Gardner, MA and I work at Hanscom AFB near Boston. Ann recently passed away unexpectedly, so it's just me and the kids now.
College
I graduated from Western New England College in 1993 with a BA in Criminal Justice.
Military

Dog Handler(K-9). My first assignment was to Kadena AB, Okinawa where I stayed until Sep 1983. I was then stationed at Laughlin AFB, TX. In 1985 the Air Force moved me to Lowry AFB, CO. In 1987 I was transferred to Hanscom AFB, MA. In 1990 I was transferred to a special duty assignment at a Turkish Military base in Turkey. I was assigned there through Desert Shield and Desert Storm, traveling to various locations in Europe and the Middle East. In April 1991 I returned to Hanscom AFB. In 1998 I was sent on a special duty assignment to Shaikh ISA AB, Bahrain during Operation Desert Fox and Desert Thunder. I returned to Hanscom AFB in August 1998. I retired from the Air Force in April 2000 as a MSgt.
