Larry Ross:  

Life I was born in Iowa and went to several schools in and around Boone, Then moved to Colorado Springs for my junior year. We then moved to southern Calif. I attended El Rancho High my senior year. Studied voc carpentry building the house on campus, played basketball, and a little track. Never took school too seriously but had a lot of fun. After school worked construction till I went in the Navy in Dec 57. After the Navy I was in law enforcement for the next thirteen years, 10 as an investigator. Worked for Garden Grove PD then a special agent for National automobile theft bur. I wanted to get out of the city so went north to Shasta Co. and was a deputy sheriff in a little town of 2800 people (Burney) What a culture shock but a good one. Quit law enforcement and went in to business for myself for about the next 27 years. Owned a drycleaners and a pizza parlor in Burney and moved to Redding in 86 and opened a restaurant there. Was diagnosed with cancer in 99 but am now free of it. It changed my whole life as a work alcoholic. Sold all the businesses and went to work in An Indian casino doing a no-brainer job and just loved it no worries no responsibilities. Retired in March of 03. Married...Expand for more
