Larry's Story
Life
Enlisted into the U.S. Army 1963-1970 as a Radar Repairman. Assignments with the 2nd Armored Division at Ft. Hood, TX. Two tours at the U.S. Army Signal Corps School at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. I attained the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1966. Served in Viet Nam at Dong Ha 1967-1968. My last assignment was at White Sands Missile Range, NM.
I started my college education in 1970 at Shoreline CC and graduated from the University of Washington with a BS EE in 1974.
In 1974 I was employed by the Weyerhaeuser Co. and worked at Springfield OR. I retired from Weyerhaeuser in 2003 and started L.K. Thomas Engineering, Inc. My wife is Simone Marie De Jesus of Honolulu Hawaii. We have been married since 1969 and we have two sons, David, born in 1975 and John, born in 1978. Our home is in Eugene Oregon.
My hobbies and interests include Photography, Hiking, and Camping, Down Hill Skiing, Cooking, Listening to and collecting recorded music from the 1920s to the present day. I also enjoy going to and watching live theater.
Best memories from Ingraham are drama and music department productions. Boy, what I would not give to of had the video cameras that we have today, so that we could have taped all of the great productions that were done in that world class auditorium.
