Larry's Story
Life
After working for the New York City Department of Education High School Division and teaching for CUNY, I relocated to New Mexico about 3 1/2 years after 9/11 at 55.
From 1977-1980, I worked as an instructional supervisor for the Education Department of the US Virgin Islands on St. Croix. I left the city during the big city fiscal crisis. Remember that?
I currently live on a ranch in the high desert of New Mexico surrounded by beautiful mountains, cattle, cactus, my 3 donkeys and my dog-- a far cry from the crowds and traffic of the NYC.
In 1962-65 I was on the Tilden Track Team and went on to attend Kingsborough CC, then Brooklyn College and finally Long Island Uni...Expand for more
versity.
At Tilden HS, I believe I was one of only three (maybe 4) males in Senior Sing the year the Seniors lost for the first time in school history. I swear it wasn't my fault!
I've written several instructional books for NYC DOE and I just completed and published my first novel.
I'm now living a great life in beautiful, warm, sunny NM where I play competitive tennis 4 times a week and
recently won the New Mexico State Senior Olympics Tennis Championship in Mixed Doubles.
Just turned 61 on 12/6-- did I really say that? I don't feel 61, but what does 61 feel like anyway?
Now 67. I've written two published novels. Still playing tennis and working out routinely.
