This will be jumpy cuz I'm looking thru the "Story Wizard" ... talking about topics that pop up...I could say more, but ran out of room
I have often thought my upbringing was very strict...then I saw an old interview with Kathren Hepburn & realize I was lucky. She talked about when she was 16 yrs old & how when the family & friends got together...only the most interesting folks spoke. The young ones didn't say anything...they just listened. She pointed out that is the way you learn. She pointed out how "kids today" don't listen...by in large they interrupt...& therefore don't learn.

childhood memories...I met J O Hollingsworth on our bikes on the way home from the 6th grade...his shoes were tied to his handle bars...we correspond weekly. The other was in highschool...I came into the gym locker room & there was Ernie Hunt (remember the big guy who studdered). He had a mexican guy in an arm lock...Ernie out weighed him by 70#s...Ernie had to pick on one guy every gym class...so Ernie is saying to the little guy..."juuuuust do you remeeeeeeeber the Alamo?" The little mexican answered back..."Yes...we beat you there." Ernie let go...got up & just walked off studdering to himself.
