First: Thanks to Miss Zito, teacher of the "Personal Typing" course in the Fall of 1964, which, to this day, remains the most valuable course I ever took in any school. Whooda thunk that one's fingertips would one day become as essential for communication as one's tongue? Thank you, Miss Zito. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks also Mrs.Clay, my 11th grade English teacher (and proud UM grad, towering above most of us at over 6 feet, with a much taller husband and driving a VW beetle, and sporting Mary Travers-style long straight blond hair). Ms. Clay tried to teach me that "it's better to be clear than to be interesting." I still haven't learned the lesson, but I continue to try, and the advice continues to be of inestimable value. fter graduation back in 1965, and I've seldom been back. I was a swimmer at the University of Louisville, then spent 9 years in Ann Arbor going to med school and grad school and taking a residency. Two years in Bethesda, MD at the NCI, then moved to my present home in Huntington Beach, CA in 1979. Still swim and run (thank you BHS track coach Neil Jordan). Happily married since 1969 (day of Armstrong's moon landing) to Connie, whom I met at Louisville. Two wonderful scholar/athlete daughters: one a Harvard senior, the other a Yale sophomore. Went to the 10 year reunion at the Roostertail in '75, but otherwise have totally lost contact with absolutely everyone. I still think that Wm DiMaria's "Hail to thee our alma mater" is one of the best school songs I've ever heard (8/15/2006).
