Larry's Story
I didn`t really have too many friends back during my High School years that were actually School Friends. I had my Gang Friends and that was enough for me at that time. I was also living on my own during those years , and missed alot of School, as I had to work to pay the bills. Best friend Ed Kirsch, Steven Arney next. I think our gang included half of the Street Teens of Rupert at that time. Definately, NOT the Sunny side of Town back then, not that Rupert ever really had one after hours. I hear it has changed, which is a Good thing. For anyone who wishes to dispute any of this, I was born there, and through my family history knew the Town, pretty well. L! I worked at some of the Canneries Back then, and the Pulpmill, and a great Pizza place down by the Poolhall. I remember Ken(Fowler)and Bros., Donna Sherk, Karen Totten, Tom Gilfoy, Henry Tom(sorry about that bodycheck during Scoopball that knocked you unconcious, during gym class), and that little tiny Freckle-faced Gal I sat with overlooking the Civic Center on the opposite hill??? You hung out with our gang sometimes. Funny, how that moment sticks out more and more, lately. I don`t miss the Town, but I miss that Time. I`ve met alot of people from Rupert over the years, but not the most important ones. Ten to twelve moves later, and many years removed, I live in Hinton, Alberta.
