Larry's Story
I've been married for almost 52 years, have two children (both married) and six grandchildren (3 step). My son is on staff with the Morongo Indian Tribe in Banning, Calif. . My daughter makes little girl clothes and doggie clothes and sells them online. I was a buyer/planner with L-3 Communications in Folsom but retired in 2010. One of the projects I worked on with L-3 allowed my picture to be put on the planet Mars along with 200 others. We moved to Cameron Park from Fremont in 1987. I regret not getting my picture in our senior yearbook. I joined the Navy while still a senior in high school and went active duty two weeks before graduation ceremonies. Vietnam conflict. I met my wife, Kathy, the day after Christmas in '69 and got engaged on our first date 6 days later on New Year's Eve at the Holiday Bowl in Hayward. My wife and I, both being retired now, live the lazy life. We go to a dog park in Folsom just about everyday and have made many good friends, people as well as dogs. We don't do too much traveling like retirees are supposed to do but we are content in staying local and socializing with friends. I used to bowl and I used to golf but I have major back problems now that prevent me from doing either. I am in contact with a few of my classmates from high school through Facebook. I attended my very first class reunion (50 year) and was surprised to have recognized so many classmates. Can't wait for the next reunion.
