Larry M. Jones:  

Life This is Larry (not Lannie or Lanny) Jones. I drove a '55 Chevy that was light green(bought while working at the M'System store on N.12th and N.Mockingbird). I later painted it VERY YELLOW (see photo). I attended Sam Houston State in the fall of 1966, then Hardin Simmons University in the spring of 1967. I was in ROTC at both schools. I JOINED the Army in November of 1967, took basic training at Ft. Polk, LA. in January and February of 1968. I then went to U.S. Army Still Photography School at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. After school, I spent six months at Ft. Sill,OK. with the 546th Military Police Co. In January of 1969, I was posted to Seoul, South Korea and served 10 months there and another 12 months in Taegu, South Korea. I became a civilian again in August of 1970. In October 1970, I came to Houston to work for the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. I married Donnah Mau, of Katy,TX. in June of 1971. We have a son Victor(b'76)& daughter Shelly(b'79). In 2001, I retired from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center as the Photographic Lab Supervisor after working there for over 31 years. Donnah and I own a restored 1965 Ford Thunderbird and belong to two Thunderbird Automobile Clubs. We have loads of fun showing a...Expand for more
