Cary's Story
I am retired and living near Raleigh, NC, in order to be near my daughter and granddaughter. Although I graduated from Univ of MD with a degree in Special Education, I ended up working most of my career in technology. I retired from MCPS as the Director of Infrastructure and Operations in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. rried Larry Dickter in 1973, but we divorced a few years later. My second marriage was to Jim Kuhar, who was the father of my daughter, Emilie. We divorced in 2000, and he remained my close friend until his untimely death in 2015. I am enjoying the time I get to spend with my daughter, my son-in-law, and my 3-year-old granddaughter, Hazel. Watching her grow up feels like having a second childhood! She’s got the best sense of humor — keeps me laughing!
