Laura's Story
Well a year after Graduation I found out I was to have the most important Job-I was to become a mom. I had to make a difficult choice to walk away from the love of my life Brenton Eric Hall. I told my parents to cancel the wedding. He wanted to marry (at 17 while driving me to school he tried to drive to another state to get married I told him I had to graduate that time.) Brenton was ready I thought I was doing the right thing by walking away that he'd grow and come back on his own. Our son Jordan was born in October 21st . My blessing from GOD. An angel on loan. I went on alone to raise our son in rootstown, then Craig Beach, Lake Milton, Suffield, back to Brimfield and finally and my own home is in Ravenna Twp. I have done it all Nursing School, ride operator Geauga Lake, Lake Forest CC, MBNA now Bank of America the worlds largest credit card co in US and Europe. What ever card you have in your wallet they own. I quit working for the devil. Hattie Larlaham , and been a 14- three year olds teacher. Brent was Killed May 28-29, 2004. He had been calling everyday between my runs for three weeks previous I knew he was going down south I also know other things about the circumstance that the LORD will take care of.. There isn't a day I don't think of him-miss him. My baby brother decided to end his life May 11 ,2006. I tried to help him different times we didn't see I to I but I love him and I was alway afraid we'd loose him-we did. There are many others close to me we have lost to cancer-illness taken very young. Heavens going to out number us soon.. Ha Ha. So unless you know the Lord you might not understand my next statement I find myself HOMESICK (listen to mercy-me) I turned 40 and for me its been about reflection. Hind site is not a blessing its a kick in the pants! I should have married Brent and if we divorced so be it but Jordan would have had more time with his dad. I know its time for a new page who knows what GOD has instore whatever I know I can survive it whether I want to or not. HA HA I love Scrapbooking and Photography i have a purse addiction and recently I made one! Jordan will be 21 the end of the year. You blink time flies. ired the college rep from nashville and the boys (his buddy to didnt have a dorm at the last minute and they tried to make them do collegite housing to make up full rent utilties and drive to campus let alone in another state. It wasn't possible. So he worked for Ravenna Aluminum 7 days a week 2nd shift , plant closed. Soon were to find out he may work were grandpa Gerald did. Say a prayer, he will go to school. As for me I have my son our cat Earl a home and good friends what more could you really want. I have a hope for you all- find God he's the only one that can fill that emptyness, find love your family etc.. Hold on to whats real and give to Casear whats Casears because it doesn't really matter! What makes you special or important does not come from a what car you drive,what job you hold, tittle you carry. How do you treat your family, wife husband, neighbor. Who was the last person you helped not expecting something in return. And Please put your children first their only little for a while and when they become teens they need you even more! I have loved ones or friends that have such low selfesteem they stay and its frustrating its like watching a car accident in slow motion and you know the outcome and can't stop it. When I love friends family etc.. I truly care and it hurts to watch and not be able to help. I think partner abuse is a disease and like any other disease alchol etc.. you can put someone into a help center but not domestic violence only the one sick can do anything other than die or let the kids grow up that way. It makes me ill. Well I have had good friends stick by Ken Smeiles, My cousin Heather, and Rosanne and even Michelle Farris Sprinke along the way sometime I still get to talk to Marie Amato Walchalk from school. I got to help a cousin in the delivery room when Kylee was born I will never forget it- being on the other end was cool too! Ha Ha. I've held a 15 ft Boa constricter , pig wrestled, been on a dunking machine walked in a style review won ribbons tropheys and certificates.. blah blah blah read a million books.. But the only true accomplishments I have known have been in my son, loving another human being, caring for children and animals. Worshiping my Lord and Saviour.
