Laura's Story
Hi, everyone!
Wow...the years have passed so quickly! I lived in Jacksonville until I married in 1991 and ended up moving with my husband to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in 1994.
I divorced in 2005 and still reside in DFW, although I come home to Jacksonville on a very regular basis.
I was a Bank Officer with Wachovia Bank until about a month ago when I made the decision to return to life insurance sales. Love the freedom; love being self employed and bank robbers are no longer an issue to be concerned with...lol!
I have 3 sons and will welcome my first grandchild late in October.
I have been blessed with good health, loving children, and very dear friends. I'm also 'Mom' to 2 rescue dogs, one of which is a hurricane Katrina survivor...explains alot about his somewhat neurotic behavior...LOL!
Turns out that Kent Herald (Class...Expand for more
of 73) and in band with me at Southside Jr. High School as well as at Englewood lives less than 10 miles from me here in Texas. We have become very good friends and visit with each other on nearly a daily basis.
Anna Lee Tracy (Sessions) and I have remained friends for all these years, and I have been fortunate to have been in contact with many of my buddies from Englewood over the past few years...Pam Howell, Linda Toerpe, Sharon Loscoe...we all had a girl's night out a couple of years ago that was a blast!
That's the long and the short of what has gone on in 'Laura-land' since we graduated so many years ago...it just doesn't seem like that long ago since the cymbal strap broke during the 1812 Overature at the anniversary concert that sent all of us diving to the ground in our formals...one of my fonder memories of Englewood.
