Laura's Story

Life Well since high school I have moved about ten times...oh yeah the average is once a year! Good grief. I spent most of my time right out high school working in Sandy at a local "hangout" called Grounds for Coffee. I met most of my really good friends at that place. I worked there until it went out of business. Then I worked for Future Shop, I started as a Customer service rep and worked up to selling audio and video products! When Future Shop closed its stores in Utah they relocated me to Seattle and I was married shortly after. My husband and I met at Future Shop. So after Future Shop tanked in the US we both were looking for jobs. I worked for a great company called Magnolia Hi Fi, selling high-end Home Theaters. My husband worked for a company called Real networks we lived in downtown Seattle right next to the Pike Place market. That was awesome and my favorite place we lived. After the tech crash my husband was out a job and we were on the road again. This time we ended up in Palo Alto California. We stayed in the Bay Area for a f...Expand for more
ew years were I still worked for Magnolia and Brett (husband) managed for Best Buy. After we had our baby, Cade we decided to come back to Washington. We live in Bellevue were I stay at home and Brett works for Amazon.com. It's great to be back in Washington, and can't wait to buy our first home. Mainly so we won't move for at least 5 years! Cade is almost a year old and really is a full time job. Brett and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary in a few weeks. Can't believe it's been so long. What’s harder to believe that I have been out of high school for almost 11 years. Oh that sounds old....hum. I suppose that we will have one more baby in a few years and then I go back to work in about six or seven years. We will see. So that’s what I been doing. Mostly I am happy, I’m still getting used to being at home. But having a child has been one of the greatest things I have ever done. Never thought it would turn out like that. I was a die hard working woman. Now I cook and play patty cake. Who new? Anyway best regards to all. LT
