Laura's Story
Life
I'm currently living in Lee's Summit with my husband, Todd, and our 5 year old twin boys, Will and Ben. My husband's an optometrist and I'm a therapist (mental health). This year I started doing stand-up comedy in KCMO (mainly just to embarrass my family). I spend alot of time with my boys just trying to parent well enough to hopefully avoid their becoming a psychopath. ly 14 years.) We have a black lab, Annie, who is 9 years old, and a good pal to all of us.
Workplace
First job was at 16 years old at the Dairy Queen in Grandview, MO, followed by a stint at the Ferrell's Hallmark store at Ward Parkway. Since I've gotten my MSW, I've worked at MOCSA as a therapist working with victims and offenders of sexual abuse and then started my own private practice with a couple of other therapists in 1992, KeyPoint Counseling Services.
