Laura's Story

Life Anyone reading this "bio" will know that I didn't actually graduate from DHS, but after spending nine years in DeLand public schools I felt that I could claim some squatters' rights. And of course I had to register with classmates.com if I wanted to contact anyone else! I left DeLand for California in 1975 and have been a resident there ever since, except that my new husband, John Rhodes (my first husband died nearly ten years ago), has swept me...Expand for more
away to Paris, France, where we're now living 9 months a year. I can't legally work while waiting for my "carte de sejour" and so I'm busy perfecting my French and being grateful that I don't have to work for lawyers anymore! (I spent the last dozen years as a paralegal/office manager/computer trouble shooter for various small law firms in the East Bay.) I have no children of my own, but am blessed with three wonderful stepsons and a well-traveled cat.
