Laura's Story
Hi Everyone!
I live in Troy near Detroit, and have lived here for 13 years. We lived in Sterling Heights and Jackson before that. I left Kentwood and went to CMU, where I met my hubby, Mike. We have 3 beautiful children; Beth, who is 21 and graduating from University of Michigan in about a week and getting married and going to San Diego to Law School in about a month, Andy, who is almost 18 and graduating from Troy HIgh in a month and going to CMU in the fall, and Jacob, who is 14, and in 8th grade. have a beagle that we adore. We spend a lot of time in Hillman at the cottage we share with extended family, in the summer. I am a Kindergarten teacher in Birmingham Public Schools, and I have a Masters degree in the teaching of autism. I haven't taught that in many years, though! My husband, Mike, works for EDS in downtown Detroit, on the GM account in the Renaissance Building. Very cool when the auto show is in town. We have traveled a bit and plan to do more with our daughter moving to California. That's about it! By the way, the little blonde in the picture is one of my students, and we're in my classroom. :>)
