Laura's Story
After receiving my Masters from Biola University and working a few years in Orange County, I moved overseas to work with a Christian organization. I spent three years in Budapest, Hungary before moving to East Africa. I have lived in Kenya and Rwanda and now currently reside in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Dar, as the locals call it, is situated on the Indian Ocean on the east coast of Africa. And it is beautiful (although quite hot and humid)! I love living and working here. The hardest part about being overseas is missing my family, especially my incredibly cute niece and nephew.

I love to travel and one of the benefits of living overseas is that it has allowed me to see a lot of amazing places. I have been all over Europe and Africa, as well as visits to the Middle East and to Asia. One of my favorite places in the world to visit is Zanzibar just an hour and half ferry ride from where I live. I hope to explore much more of our world, learning about people and different cultures in the future. If you are every in this part of the world, karibu (Swahili for "welcome"), as they would say here in Tanzania.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at our reunion in October
