Laura's Story
Life
I graduated from Wittenberg
University (Springfield, Ohio) in 1997.
Since then, I was a substitute
teacher for 3 years in Novi and
Livonia public schools. Currently, I
am a full-time 5th grade teacher at
Riley Upper Elementary School. I have
been a full-time teacher for Livonia since
2000. In July, 2002, I finished my Masters
Degree (Marygrove College, (Detroit, MI)
and also got married. Unfortunately,
my dad passed away suddenly in September
2003. Since then, my husband and I now have a wonderful

My husband and I welcomed a little girl into our
family on March 30th,2006 (8 pounds 13 ounces).
Everyone is happy healthy. :) In addition to
being a mother of two wonderful children, I
have 5 handsome nephews, and three beautiful
neices! (Ranging in age from newborn to 4yrs.
old) This year I will be taking more classes to
further my education and maintain my professional
teaching certificate. With a 1yr. old, a 3yr, old,
working full-time, and going back to school, life is
certainly busy, full, and wonderful.
