Laura's Story
Life
Graduated from UC Berkeley - Bachelors in Biophysics. Married since 1973, three children, oldest a graduate of Juilliard, middle child studying Chinese medicine, youngest 11 yrs old. Recently became a grandmother (1999). Currently working at Stanford University managing a cell sorting facility (FACS), has published original research in scientific journals in the area of immunology. 971. Converted to Islam in 1973 and use my Islamic name - Lusijah - exclusively. I have developed interests in music (played as a cellist with the Redwood Symphony for many years), organic gardening (we have had a mini farm - at times with goats and chickens - for the past 20 years), SCUBA diving, triathlons. Highlight of my life has been my children. I have been blessed with a good husband, wonderful children, good health, interesting work.
