No matter how careful you are, there's going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it all. There's that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should've been paying attention. Too much precious time is thrown away looking at life through the rear view mirror, overexamining ourselves, and picking things apart. Life is often based on the insignificant details while substance is overlooked. Trying desperately to hold on to something won't make it stay. Dwelling on the past won't change it, and questioning the future wastes time we could use making it. Real learning comes with the realization that life isn't what we want it to be. It isn't logical or orderly. There is no set of steps to follow to achieve perfection. Sometimes it doesn't make any sense at all. Security is a superstition and avoiding danger is no safer in the long run. Sometimes the only way to fix things is to let them be. Abandon worries and doubts and give a little room for error. Be satisfied with unsatisfaction. Live for what is worth living for, and love that which is worth loving. Try living now instead, because time is flying and these moments are too precious to waste.
