Laura's Story
Life
I left High School, graduated from Cosmotology School (Go Figure) worked at my chosen profession until I married in 1987. My then husband was in the Air Force so for the next ten years or so we traveled. I've lived in Mississippi, Southern Illinois, Germany, Oklahoma City Oklahoma (I was there at the time of the bombing), and finally to Northern Illinios where I now live.
In 2001 my father died suddenly. I spent months working full time and spending weekends with my Mother in Goodland, taking care of business and coming to terms. That started in the last part of April, in August I had a near fatal blood clot that shook me to the core. I lost 40 inches of my small intestine, the possibility (however remote) of ever wearing a bikini ...Expand for more
and the cloud that flew over-head. I asked for a divorce from my husband, took on the management position at work, moved my Mother into my home and my husband out in the same week. I haven't looked back since. I'm happy again. THAT'S WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT!
College
After College I worked in the trade for a few years, but quit when I got married. Traveled for ten years with the Military husband then settled in northern Illinois. In 2001 my father died unexpectedly, then I almost lost my life to a blood clot. I survived with 40 less inches of my small intestines. I decided life was too short and divorced my husband, moved my Mother in and went about business. I would like to find some of my classmates, I feel bad that I have lost touch.
