More about Laura:"I have been blessed with a second chance in life. In 2006, I was diagnosied with Melanoma. I had fabulous doctors who helped me survive. I asked God to please allow me to see Layne graduate from high school. Well, here we are one month from that day. Now I ask for God's mercy again to allow me to see him graduate from USCl in '13. So my advice to anyone reading this is to live everyday as it could be your last. Love your family, friends and never forget yourself in that equation. te days memories! Some of mine include: the day Layne was born--even though we (me and Wayne) are now divorced I rate this special day as the very best!, the day Layne surprised me at the Kickin' Chicken with his acceptance letter( thought he was just hungry as usual), watching Layne play rugby at Blackbaud Stadium, the day Daniel resuced me from myself, and of course rolling in the water last month in St. Kitts thinking if God took me right then I coiuldn't complain (thanks Jeannie for always being so generous)! And finally last week checking out Dave Matthews with my friends, Judi and Steven! So now to add a little to my story--and memories now include great ones from the Miss America pageant and a load of fun new friends!
So if you are reading this remember to wear your sunscreen==a whole ounce (like a shot glass size, your bottle shouldn't last all summer!), protect your beautiful eyes, and wear a hat the last place you want skin cancer is on your beautiful face.
Slow down smell the coffee (bring me a cup too), life won't pass you by! Volunteer in your community and love the Lord!".
