Donna's Story
A Big Texas Howdy to you,
I guess after living in Texas for almost 34 years now,
I'm what they call down here a transplanted Texan.
My husband, John joined the faculty of Texas A&M
University in 1975, as a professor of Agricultural
Economics.
My three children, Matthew age 40, John 37, and Laura 32, live in College Station and a town right outside of the area, called Kurten.
Two years after my daughter was born, I started teaching pre-school and did that for 15 years.After
that I needed a challenge in life and started to play golf. It was fun and met my future son-in-law, Tom
who was an asst. pro at our country club. I've given up golf for awhile ,when my oldest son moved home due to health reasons 4 years ago.
I play party and duplicate bridge, belong to a number
of organizations and keep busy on church committ...Expand for more

Over the past 10 years I've travelled to a number of
European countries, Guatemala and Korea.
The love of my life was born in 2005, my grandson Kyle. I get to see him at least 2 or 3 times a week.
I have been fortunate over the past 23 years to see the continuing miracle of my son John beating all odds. At the age of 13 he developed a rare brain tumor and was given 2 years to live. Graduated from high-school and college. In 2000 had a major stroke and was told that he would never speak again, Once again he proved the doctors wrong. Developed seizures, which are controlled through medicine. He
has short term memory lost, but works at our church pre-school, where he is accepted by little children,
All through this time he has been a witness for our Lord and Savior.
He keeps us humble!
