Laurel's Story
I returned to school and am enrolled in a PhD program at Michigan State. I am in the 5th year and now collecting data for my dissertation. Only one more year! I teach at MSU [Introduction to Sociology, Family & Society, Social Problems] and will teach in the fall for U of M, Flint [Sociology of Health & Illness].
I have four children, all grown - and two grandchildren...Expand for more
and all of them are in Michigan for now. I have been married to Kevin for 35 years! He graduated from Mt. Morris in 1971.
I like to read and do research in Medical Sociology-
I always wanted to be a Professor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
I relax by doing yoga or taking a long walk to the river.
