Lauren's Story
Life
I graduated cum laude from The State University of New York at Fredonia with a B.A. in Spanish. I worked for nearly fourteen years for The American Diabetes Association as the Director of Research Funding first in New York City and then in Alexandria, VA when the national headquarters moved in 1986.
I moved to Florida in 1995 and continued my non-profit health career for several years and currently work for a luxury hotel.
My first children's mystery book, "Ashley Enright Investigations" was published in May and the second book in the series, "Ashley Enright and The Mystery at Miller's Pond" will be out later this year. Enright was my grandmother's maiden name and wasn't carr...Expand for more
ied down in the family. I'd always thought that if I had a daughter, I'd name her Ashley Enright to continue the name. I don't have children and now Ashley has come to "life" in the pages of a book!
My third book in the Ashley Enright series, "Ashley Enright and the Darnell Diamonds" came out in May, 2009. I'm enjoying going to local schools and talking to children about my books and the writing process. It's very rewarding!
I'm currently at work on the next book in the Ashley Enright series and finishing the first of a "cozy mystery" for adults - I plan to have this become a new series!
My favorite way to relax is listening to great music or reading (or writing!) a good book!
